As a financial advisor with Eagle Strategies LLC and the co-founder of Third 3rd Financial Partners, Tim Leahy focuses in helping clients define and achieve their retirement goals. His knowledge and experience is evident in the wide variety of client demographics that he serves, with differences in age, gender, background, and financial experience and objectives.

Tim is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and he is also a lifetime qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)1. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Tim graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 1979 with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. He then earned a Master’s in Statistics and Operations Research from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in Troy, New York. To further his education, he has also earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation.

Mr. Leahy was in the Coast Guard for 20 years. Among other assignments, he served as a commanding officer of two ships and the Coast Guard Vessel Traffic Service in New York Harbor in the late 1990s. He also taught college-level math at the Coast Guard Academy for four years. As an active member of his community, Tim supports the Carroll Center for the Blind in Newton, Massachusetts and is an active member of his church in Newburyport, Massachusetts.

Tim has been married to Kathleen for 30 years, and they have three children. In his off time, Tim likes to read, follow Boston area sports teams, stay active by hiking with Kathleen, and training each year for the Cayuga Lake Triathlon in Ithaca, NY.
